What size should I have?

The size of the safe is dependent on its intended use, such as commercial or domestic. Commercial use will often require a larger safe and typically there is more space available for the installation.

The factor that most determines your size requirement is the items that you want to place in the safe. When selecting your safe it is better to be too big than too small.

Can I have pepper spray to protect myself?

Yes. Pepper Spray is described under the Weapons Act as a "controlled weapon". In the case of "pepper spray", regulation 7(2) of the Weapons Act permits a person to carry it for lawful defence, if that person has, on reasonable grounds, a suspicion or belief that they will require the "pepper spray" to defend themselves. It should be noted that the burden of proof to show that the person had this "reasonable belief or suspicion" remains with the person found carrying it. More Information here.
